Counselling is an excellent opportunity for you to explore what’s on your heart and mind. It may be a current concern, leading to anxiety, depression or struggling to cope with everyday life. maybe you need to make a decision and need some expertise in looking at the whole picture clearly to be wise in your decision making.
Counselling also looks at trauma or past memories which might be holding you back in life. Spending time in counselling can untangle obstacles and enable you to become string to make new lifestyle decisions for a more fulfilled and free life.
At open door you can talk with an experienced trained counsellor who will keep everything you say confidential and safe. we don’t judge we just listen and talk.
There is no limit to how many sessions you can have – although a suggestion if at least 10 is recommended. Each session follows an agreed plan between you and your counsellor, following your needs and the suggestions of the counsellor. Mostly the sessions will involve sitting and talking or listening. Sometimes it may be useful to look at the theory behind what you are experiencing and to draw on the knowledge of experts in the field to help us.
